Incorrect wheel alignment causes uneven tyre wear, poor handling, and wasted fuel. Find out the signs of misalignment and how Glasgow Mobile Tyre Guys can fix it.

Wheel alignment, also known as tracking, refers to the precise angles at which your tyres make contact with the road surface. When these angles drift from the manufacturer's specification, tyres wear unevenly, the vehicle may pull to one side, steering response becomes less precise, and fuel consumption increases measurably.

Misalignment commonly occurs after hitting a significant kerb or pothole, following a minor collision, or simply over time as suspension components wear. Even a small deviation from the correct angle — often measured in fractions of a degree — can cause accelerated and uneven tyre wear over the course of several thousand miles.

Key indicators of alignment issues include the vehicle pulling to the left or right when driving on a straight, level road; uneven wear on the inner or outer edge of a tyre; a steering wheel that sits off-centre when driving straight ahead; and a slight vibration or wandering feeling through the steering wheel.

Glasgow Mobile Tyre Guys includes wheel alignment checks and corrections as part of our service offering. Having alignment verified and corrected at the time of fitting new tyres protects your investment and ensures even wear from the start. Book an alignment check on 0141 673 8418.
